Todd at Millars Coffee recently sent me a couple of their organic coffees to try out. You guys know that I love trying out different coffees, so I was definitely looking forward to doing this review!
As soon I opened the bag, I could tell that the beans were very fresh and smelled so amazing! I immediately knew that this was going to be a delicious cup of coffee!
Millars Organic Wood Roasted Coffee blends are barrel aged in 24 yr old Kentucky bourbon, oak barrels for a minimum of 30 days before they are roasted. Millars Organic Wood Roasted Coffee roasts organically shade grown, USDA certified green beans from around the globe.
This was my first time trying out a barrel aged coffee, so I was very curious on how that would differ in taste.
Once the coffee finished brewing, I added coconut milk, coconut oil + honey into the blender and blended until frothy. Just like I predicted, this coffee is so good! I love the taste of the dark roast, it was very rich and exactly like I prefer my coffee. I feel like the fact that the coffee was barrel aged, gave it an extra smoky flavor, not overly, but just enough to give it that extra kick!
