Hi Loves! I hope that you are all having a lovely week, wherever you are! It's currently cool here in Georgia and I'm sitting here wearing a sweater and sipping on a cappuccino while I write. I wanted to talk to you today about being productive while working. If you run your own Business or Blog, you can relate to having never-ending lists and feeling overwhelmed at times. That's why I wanted to share some of my personal tips to stay productive during your work day!

A few of my Favorite Productivity Tips:

>> Write a list- Before you lay your head down to sleep- write a list of everything that you need to get done for the next day. Not only will this help you remember what to do for the next day, but you will also sleep much better! (When I don't do this- I literally wake up during the night making notes on my phone!) Also, turn off your phone notifications- if I don't do this, my phone goes off ALL night!

>> Wake up early! Immediately upon waking, I put on coffee (if my hubby hasn't already) and while I wait- I check my emails to see if there are any emails that I need to respond to. It's best to get important emails out of the way early, so it's not in the back of your mind, nagging you while you work. Some people say to do the opposite, but getting them out of the way first works best for me.

>> Tackle the most difficult tasks first and get them out of the way. Especially if you have a deadline, do this absolutely first, no excuses! Procrastination is the enemy here, it's better to tackle things head on and you will feel much better once it's done!

>> Schedule less- don't feel like you have to take on every opportunity or event that comes your way. If you know that you don't have the time to tackle their project or if you don't have the time to schedule in the extra online learning that it will take to complete the project, then say no. Be nice about it and explain to them why you can't take on their project. People will respect you and understand if you are honest about your reasons.

>> Take advantage of Organization Systems- Google Calendar + Evernote, Asana- whatever you can find that will keep you organized. I personally am a fan of Google Calendar- I add all of my webinars, workshops, personal reminders, etc. and never forget anything! I also love Asana because I can sort projects and add due dates and color code everything.

>> Take a Break- take a break from work/computer and go for a walk outdoors. When I feel overwhelmed or tired of sitting, going for a walk always helps me generate new ideas and feel less stressed about everything! I hope that these tips have inspired you to be more productive today.

Please feel free to share some tips that make you more productive during the work day- I would love to hear them!!
